<h2>Roles and Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Design and implement software components that convert print intent into executable motion instructions.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve print reliability, accuracy, and performance across multiple printer configurations.</li><li>Develop and maintain interfaces between motion-planning tools and device control layers.</li><li>Contribute to troubleshooting workflows by reproducing issues, analyzing logs, and iterating on root-cause fixes.</li><li>Optimize algorithms and data handling to reduce latency, memory usage, and processing time before and during prints.</li><li>Participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement practices for production-quality releases.</li><li>Work effectively in a remote environment, providing clear updates, timelines, and technical documentation.</li></ul><h2>Required Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Demonstrated experience developing software for manufacturing or embedded-adjacent systems with real-time or near-real-time constraints.</li><li>Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python for implementing, debugging, and testing production software.</li><li>Proven ability to generate and validate device instruction streams for additive manufacturing workflows.</li><li>Experience developing, extending, or interfacing with printer control software and/or firmware-level components.</li><li>Hands-on experience with debugging techniques, including instrumentation, log analysis, and performance profiling.</li><li>Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals: version control, unit/integration testing, code quality, and maintainability.</li><li>Experience working with technical specifications, measurement/validation data, and iterative verification cycles.</li></ul><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Implement instruction-generation pipelines that produce correct, efficient, and robust output for 3D printing operations.</li><li>Develop firmware-side or firmware-adjacent features to improve motion control, thermal coordination, and printer stability.</li><li>Create validation tools to verify generated instructions against expected behavior, including edge cases and failure modes.</li><li>Optimize performance of generation and execution workflows to support consistent printing and faster turnaround times.</li><li>Maintain compatibility with evolving printer profiles, machine parameters, and software/firmware revisions.</li><li>Develop automated tests and regression suites that protect critical behaviors across updates.</li><li>Investigate field-reported issues, reproduce defects, and deliver fixes with clear explanations and documentation.</li><li>Coordinate with product and engineering stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs and deliverables.</li></ul>
