Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Management professional to lead end-to-end supply chain operations for fabrication projects. The role will be responsible for strategic sourcing, procurement, vendor development, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and subcontracting activities to ensure timely delivery, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement and sourcing of fabrication materials such as steel, aluminum, structural components, pipes, fasteners, and consumables.
  • Develop and manage supplier and subcontractor networks to ensure quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Project teams for material planning and availability.
  • Oversee inventory management, warehouse operations, and logistics activities.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing, value engineering, and process improvements.
  • Manage subcontracting and fabrication outsourcing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Lead and develop teams across procurement, planning, stores, logistics, and vendor management.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end operational flow for moving goods from origin to destination, ensuring on-time delivery and consistent service levels.
  • Manage planning, execution, and continuous improvement of supply chain activities to support business growth and customer requirements.
  • Own inventory performance by monitoring stock levels, coordinating replenishment, and ensuring accurate records across warehouses and locations.
  • Drive transportation and distribution execution, including carrier coordination, shipment scheduling, route planning, and delivery tracking.
  • Optimize logistics processes by analyzing operational data, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing efficiency improvements.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with procurement, production, customer service, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless handoffs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Proven experience leading logistics or supply chain operations, with strong ownership of transportation, warehousing, and inventory control.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage inventory health, including cycle counts, safety stock alignment, and root-cause resolution for discrepancies.
  • Experience coordinating multi-stop distribution, shipment execution, carrier performance tracking, and exception handling.
  • Strong analytical capability to evaluate performance metrics and translate findings into measurable process improvements.
  • Competence with logistics and inventory systems (e.g., ERP/WMS/transport management workflows) and operational reporting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to align internal teams and external vendors.
  • Ability to prioritize under time-sensitive conditions while maintaining accuracy in documentation and shipment details.
  • Willingness to operate on-site in Bangalore, Karnataka, and manage day-to-day logistics execution.
  • Working knowledge of logistics best practices and continuous improvement methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage inbound/outbound logistics activities, ensuring correct quantities, documentation accuracy, and shipment readiness.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through routine checks, anomaly investigations, and coordination with warehouse teams for corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement transportation and distribution plans to balance cost, speed, reliability, and service constraints.
  • Track shipment status end-to-end, manage exceptions (delays, damages, misroutes), and implement preventive measures.
  • Optimize logistics workflows by standardizing processes, improving handoffs, and reducing lead times and operational waste.
  • Prepare operational reports for leadership, including KPI performance, cost trends, and improvement progress.
  • Collaborate on forecasting and replenishment strategies by providing visibility into logistics capacity and expected transit performance.
  • Coordinate with procurement and warehouse operations to ensure materials and finished goods are available when needed.
  • Continuously evaluate carrier and vendor performance, negotiating improvements in reliability, service quality, and pricing where applicable.
  • Ensure safety and compliance practices are followed in all logistics and warehouse-related activities.
