About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Application & Solutions Engineer – BESS to join our Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years of experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Lithium-Ion batteries, and power systems. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, validating, and delivering customized BESS solutions that meet customer requirements while supporting product development, technical proposals, and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements and develop optimized Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) solutions.
• Perform system sizing calculations, including battery capacity (kWh), power rating (kW), C-rate, and backup time based on project requirements.
• Prepare technical proposals, solution architecture, and techno-commercial documentation.
• Support Sales and Business Development teams during customer meetings, technical discussions, and solution presentations.
• Coordinate with Design, Supply Chain, and Project teams to ensure successful product development and project delivery.
• Evaluate and integrate key BESS components, including Battery Management Systems (BMS), Power Conversion Systems (PCS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and battery packs.
• Conduct system testing, validation, FAT/SAT activities, commissioning support, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards such as IEC, UL, and IEEE.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and user manuals.
• Deliver technical training and support to internal teams, customers, and partners.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in energy storage technologies and industry trends.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) architecture and applications.
• Hands-on experience with Lithium-Ion batteries, BMS, PCS/Inverters, and EMS.
• Knowledge of electrical system design, HV/LV systems, protection schemes, and grid integration.
• Ability to perform technical calculations and system sizing for energy storage applications.
• Experience interpreting electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with testing, validation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of BESS.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and AI productivity tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Energy Engineering.
• Experience with utility-scale BESS, Lithium-Ion battery systems, mobile battery units, or solar + storage integration.
• Knowledge of SCADA, EMS, remote monitoring, and data logging systems.
• Exposure to international standards, tendering processes, and renewable energy projects.
