Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services that support business-critical applications.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and QA teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Implement API-driven features with strong attention to reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Apply sound software engineering principles (OOP, SOLID, and Clean Architecture) to produce extensible codebases.
• Build and integrate microservices and components following defined application architecture standards.
• Develop data access layers using efficient ORM patterns and optimize database interactions.
• Write and maintain comprehensive automated tests to ensure correctness and prevent regressions.
• Participate in code reviews, mentorship, and continuous improvement of development practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues, analyze root causes, and implement durable fixes and enhancements.
• Support deployment readiness by collaborating on build, configuration, and release processes.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience delivering backend systems using modern server-side .NET technologies.
• Proficiency in building and consuming Web APIs and integrating external services reliably.
• Hands-on experience with API development, versioning considerations, and robust error handling.
• Working knowledge of unit testing practices and the ability to maintain testable code.
• Solid understanding of OOP concepts and the ability to apply SOLID design principles effectively.
• Experience implementing Clean Architecture or similarly structured approaches for maintainability.
• Practical experience with microservices and application architecture patterns.
• Proficiency with EF Core for data modeling, querying, migrations, and performance-aware data access.
• Ability to analyze requirements, estimate effort, and deliver features with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills for coordination in an onsite environment in Kochi, Kerala, India.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end development of backend features including API endpoints, service logic, and data access.
• Design service contracts and implement integrations to ensure seamless communication across systems.
• Structure codebases using Clean Architecture patterns to keep business logic isolated and testable.
• Create unit tests for core components and maintain coverage aligned with quality standards.
• Implement database interactions using EF Core with performance and consistency in mind.
• Ensure services follow best practices for scalability, observability, and resilient behavior.
• Coordinate with team members to validate design choices, manage dependencies, and uphold standards.
• Conduct peer reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve overall code quality.
• Investigate defects in development and production, document findings, and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver solutions in an onsite setup at Kochi, Kerala, India, participating in daily technical collaboration.
