Job Title: HVAC & Thermal Lead Engineer – BESS Cooling Systems

Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's in Thermal Engineering/HVAC preferred)

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced HVAC & Thermal Lead Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of thermal management systems for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The candidate will be responsible for HVAC and cooling system design, thermal analysis, product validation, and coordination with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver reliable and efficient cooling solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop HVAC and thermal management systems for BESS containers and battery enclosures.
• Perform heat load calculations, cooling system sizing, airflow management, and thermal performance optimization.
• Lead the design and validation of air-cooled and liquid-cooled battery thermal management systems.
• Review thermal analysis reports, CFD simulations, and engineering documentation.
• Design coolant circuits, piping layouts, and support pressure testing and reliability improvements.
• Coordinate with Electrical, BMS, PCS, EMS, Mechanical, and Manufacturing teams.
• Support product qualification, FAT, commissioning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, UL, and other applicable industry standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and support new product development initiatives.
